South Dakota Library Association
The South Dakota Library Association strives to promote library service of the highest quality for recent and potential South Dakota library users; to provide opportunities for professional involvement of all persons engaged in any phase of librarianship within the state; and to further the professional development of South Dakota librarians, trustees, and library employees.

Mountain Plains Library Association
The mission of the Mountain Plains Library Association is to further the development of librarians, library employees, and trustees and to promote quality library service in the states of the Mountain Plains Region (Arizona, Colorado, Kansas, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Utah, Wyoming).

American Library Association
The American Library Association provides leadership for the development, promotion, and improvement of library and information services and the profession of  librarianship in order to enhance learning and ensure access to information for all.

Library Support Staff Interests Round Table
The purpose of SSIRT is "to provide an arena for addressing a wide variety of issues of concern to library support staff", to encourage communication among all library staff, and to disseminate information in a timely manner to local, state and regional organizations.
