Includes web resources for fashion, costume design, and museums.

Encyclopedia of Creativity, 2 vols. (Reference B408 .E53 1999)
Includes articles about the study of creativity. Topics include: Imagery, intuition, learning styles, motivation, talent, cognitive style and critical thinking.

Encyclopedia of World Art, 17 vols. (Reference N31.E5)
400 to 600 pages of illustrations at the end of each volume. Covers art in the broad sense including architecture, sculpture, and painting.

GATF Glossary of Graphic Arts Terms (Reference ZZ118.G76 1991)
Includes abbreviations and acronyms of graphic arts, associations and business terms.

Graphis Design Annual, 1987+ (Oversize NC977.G7)
Continues Graphis Annual. International survey of design and illustration in various types of publication, e.g. magazines, newspapers, calendar. Entries contain an illustration, title of the work; name of the artist, designer, and art director.

Graphic Design USA, 1986+ (Oversize NC998.5.A1A372)
Continues Annual of the American Institute of Graphic Arts. Entries include reproductions from exhibitions of the American Institute of Graphic Arts. Includes various graphic formats; e.g. illustration, photography, covers, signage.

Larousse Encyclopedia of Prehistoric and Ancient Art (Reference N5300.H8L)
Essays with historical summaries at the end of each chapter.

McGraw-Hill Dictionary of Art, 5 vols. (Reference N33.M3)
Includes articles on far east, near east, and primitive. In addition includes articles on styles, periods, cities, buildings, museums and definitions.

Oxford Companion to Western Art (Reference N33.O923 2001)
Focuses mainly on painting, sculpture, and the graphic arts.  Covers all cultures speaking a European language.

Oxford Dictionary of Art (Reference N33.O93 1988)
Provides overview of western art forms and individual artists from antiquity to contemporary times.

Praeger Encyclopedia of Art, 4 vols. (Reference N33.P68)
Includes articles on the art of individual nations, periods, styles, schools and movements. Also provides survey articles on civilizations for which no artists' names are known and bibliographies.

Who’s Who in American Art (Reference N6536.W45 1997-1998)
Biographical information about visual artists from the United States, Canada, and Mexico. Indexed by geographical location and professional classification.
