ASCE CE Database. American Society of Civil Engineers information
retrieval service for all its publications. Current coverage:
1970-present.
Engineering Village - Compendex. The world's premiere engineering abstracts database. Sources
include journals, conference proceedings, and technical reports in all areas of
engineering. Older paper volumes of this resource are shelved as Engineering
Index on the main floor at Abstracts 620.5 .En332.
Academic Search Premier.
(EBSCOhost)
Academic Search Premier, designed specifically for academic institutions,
is the world's largest scholarly, multi-disciplinary full text database
containing full text for more than 4,600 scholarly publications, including more
than 3,500 peer-reviewed publications. In addition to the full text, this
database offers indexing and abstracts for all 8,040 journals in the collection.
This scholarly collection offers information in nearly every area of academic
study including: social sciences, humanities, education, computer sciences,
engineering, physics, chemistry, language and linguistics, arts & literature,
medical sciences, ethnic studies, and many more.
Current
Contents. This multidisciplinary, current awareness resource
provides indexing and tables of contents to over 6,000 journals covering a broad
range of disciplines. Many clinical and social/behavioral journals are included
in this database.
Science Citation Index, 1992+, (via Web of Science).
This multidisciplinary database of citations
and abstracts from journal literature can be used as a conventional
author-subject index, or it can be searched by cited author or paper.
Access this database via Web of Science for citations from 2001 to
the present and on a specific workstation in the reference area the
library for the time period 1991 - 2002. Prior years (1965-1990) are available in paper at Abstracts 016.5
.Sci27.
Scitation,
Produced by the American Institute of Physics and
it indexes articles from journals, magazines, conference proceedings, technical
publications, and other publications from scientific societies and technical
publishers including the American Society of Civil Engineering. Abstracts,
references, and citations are available for all references and PDF or html
full-text for many articles from journals to which SDSU subscribes. References
are linked from the abstracts and articles referencing the displayed article can
also be searched.

covers topics such as: new or modified methods of analysis; design, construction
and use of analytical apparatus; reviews of analytical techniques and

Abstracts International. This resource provides a subject,
title, and author guide to over 1.2 million doctoral dissertations and masters
theses written since 1861.
Dissertation Abs: Current - SDSU
provides access to the full text (pdf) of recent dissertations and these
completed at SDSU.
Google Scholar
Searches scholarly literature including journal articles, theses, books,
preprints, abstracts, and technical reports from a variety of academic
publishers, professional societies, preprint repositories and universities.
Greenfile.
A bibliographic database of information about environmental concerns such
as, global warming, energy conservation, natural resources, and pollution. It
covers content going back more than 35 years and contains backfiles to volume
one, issue one for Bioscience, Journal of Environmental Planning &
Management , Journal of Ecology, and Conservation Biology.
MathSciNet
Web-based version of Mathematical Reviews, including a variety of search
options. Contains nearly 1.85 million reviews.
Mathematical Reviews. (Abstracts 628.505
.P766) This exhaustive resource provides reviews and bibliographic
references for much of the literature of mathematics. Entries are arranged by
Mathematics Subject Classification. Mathematical Reviews is published monthly by
the American Mathematical Society, with an annual cumulated author and subject
index issue. Shelved on the library's main floor in the abstracts area.
National Technical Information Service:
http://www.ntis.gov/fdlp (requires login by library staff on
library computers). SDSU is a pilot project participant in Depository Access to
Reports, Technical & Scientific. DARTS provides access to bibliographic records
for nearly 240,000 publications 1964-2000 and links to online content when
available.
Transportation Research (TRIS Online)
Transportation Research Board produced database on transportation information
published in books, journal articles, technical reports, and other media. In
some instances, links to the full text or sources of the full text are provided.
