Includes web resources for furniture, design, art, and museums.

Concise Encyclopedia of Interior Design (Reference NK1165.D58 1988)

A dictionary for interior design, decoration and ornament.

Contemporary Designers (Reference NK1166 C65)
Biographical information about designers of the 20th century.

The Design Encyclopedia (Reference NK1370 B93 2004)
Provides information on people, firms, and materials associated with the production of decorative and applied arts. Includes interiors, furniture and wallpaper.

The Dictionary of Antiques and the Decorative Arts (Reference NK30.B6d)

Dictionary/Encyclopedia including art objects, collectors and collecting, decorative arts, glass, furniture, ceramics, silver, periods, styles, etc.

 

Dictionary of Architecture and Construction (Reference NA31 H32)

Features 22,500 clear, concise definitions of terms in 77 working areas of architecture and construction. In all, 2,300 terms have been added to this edition, and many which appeared in the first edition have been updated. The first edition was profusely illustrated with marginal drawings.

The Dictionary of Interior Design (Reference NK1165 P4)
Includes illustrations and terms regarding furniture, period styles and biographical information about noted designers and architects.

Dictionary of the Decorative Arts (Reference NK30 F54 1977)

Dictionary/Encyclopedia on decoration and ornament.

 

Dictionary of 20th Century Design (Reference NK1390.P53 1990)

Dictionary/Encyclopedia covering design, and the history of design, in the 20th century.

 

Encyclopedia of Architecture, Design, Engineering and Construction (Reference NA31 E59)

A five volume set that includes entries on design, engineering and construction.

Encyclopedia of Interior Design (Reference NK1165 E48) (2 volumes)
Provides descriptions and analysis of subjects and individuals related to the history of interiors. Includes information on room types, decoration and furniture.

Encyclopedia of World Art, 17 vols. (Reference N31.E5)
400 to 600 pages of illustrations at the end of each volume. Covers art in the broad sense including architecture, sculpture, and textiles.

The Facts on File Dictionary of Design and Designers (Reference NK1165 .J47 1985)

A dictionary/encyclopedia including biographical entries.

Fairchild's Dictionary of Home Furnishings (Reference TX311 H69)
Includes information on furniture and bedding, accessories, curtains, draperies, fabrics, fibers and floor coverings.

McGraw-Hill Dictionary of Art, 5 vols. (Reference N33.M3)
Includes articles on the Far East, Near East, and primitive. In addition it includes articles on styles, periods, cities, buildings, museums and definitions.

The Oxford Companion to the Decorative Arts (Reference NK30 093 1985)
Includes furniture, decor and textiles.

Postwar Interior Design, 1945-1960 (Reference NK1986.O73 F4 1987)
