Guide to Aviation / Aeronautics Research Databases, Indexes and Abstracts The following databases and paper indexing and abstracting publications may be used to locate articles relevant to aviation / aeronautics in journals, magazines, conference proceedings, books, and other sources. The premier national database of educational literature from 1966 to 2004. Current Contents. Contains the tables of contents and abstracts of articles from thousands of journals.

Compendex Web. EBSCOhost This system of databases covers a broad array of disciplines and topics including aeronautics. Many full-text articles are available via the system. INSPEC. INSPEC, from the Institute of Electrical Engineers (IEE), is the world's leading abstracts database covering the literature of physics, electronics and electrical engineering, and computer fields. Also available on WinSPIRS workstations on the SDSU (Brookings) campus. LEXIS-NEXIS Academic. This database provides online access to full-text federal, state and international legal materials, as well as full-text and bibliographic information from newspapers, news and business magazines, newsletters, wire services, broadcast transcripts, and biographical sources. Includes many international news sources. ProQuest. This resource provides access to several different bibliographic and full-text databases covering a wide variety of disciplines and topics, including the humanities, international studies, law, multiculturalism and the social sciences.
