Bruderhofers: A Selected Bibliography

Wood Bar

I Want You To Know

  • This bibliography of published information about the Society of Brothers is a continuing project. I refer to it as a selected bibliography and I make no claim that it provides comprehensive coverage of all published materials about Bruderhofers. However, as new entries are added over the course of time, I am hopeful that this bibliography will present a useful list of published English-language material about them.

  • I do not evaluate the worth of the publications cited in this bibliography or recommend any of these titles. I only attempt to identify published information related to the Bruderhofer population, their way of life, and their physical and social realities. The publications cited by the entries in this bibliography present various views of Bruderhofer realities, and authors' biases and misconceptions are undoubtedly evident in many of them.

  • I would be pleased to receive suggestions for additions or corrections to this bibliography via e-mail at the address shown below.

  • I will not provide addresses, telephone numbers, email addresses, or other contact information for Bruderhof colonies or individuals.
