Finding
Government Information
Numerous finding tools are available through government agencies, library
databases, and Internet Search Engines and Directories. Many government
publications in Briggs Library can be identified through the library catalog, as
well. Tangible Documents are located on the Lower Level of the library and
classified under the
SuDoc classification system. The
Government Documents Roundtable also has an interactive tutorial for the
Superintendent of Documents classification systme. This classification system arranges materials
by the issuing government agency. The Guide to U.S. Government Publications
is a standard reference source for federal agency classifications and class
chronology and can be found on the Upper Level of the library and in the
Documents Department. (Z1223 .Z7 A5gud).
