A daily newspaper, two local papers and the June 4 edition of the Industrial Collegian, official State college student newspaper, besides a history of State college and the campanile are to be placed in a small tin box and cemented into the cornerstone, President C.W. Pugsley announced early this week. A near-future edition of the Sioux Falls Argus leader, containing pictures and articles concerning Charles Coughlin, donor of the magnificent chimes tower, and copies of the Brookings Register and Press are to be placed in the cornerstone, the president said. A history of the college and of the chimes tower donor will also be included. The dedication of the campanile has been delayed until immed [text missing] exercises when the board of regents of education, headed by president Robert Dailey, of Flandreau, will be present for the ceremonies. The board of members will drive here immediately following the commencement exercises at the University of South Dakota at Vermillion. Charles Coughlin, State graduate of 1909, will be present for the laying of the cornerstone, he indicated to President Pugsley.
