Background
The Ag-Bio Prexy Council was a
council within the College of Agriculture and Biological Sciences. It
was comprised of agricultural and biological science related student
organization presidents and the Ag-Bio student senators. The purpose of
the Prexy Council was to create a feeling of unity between all
organizations and students within the College of Agriculture and
Biological Sciences at South Dakota State University, to function as an
administration body representative of the said organizations, to serve
as a means of direct semi-official contact between the Dean of
Agriculture and the Ag and Bio Science student body, and to function as
such in activities with the administration and the university.
Functions of the council included coordination of Ag-Bio Teacher of the
Year, the Ag-Bio Science Queen selection, sponsoring of the Ag-Bio
Scholarship Banquet, election of the Little International manager, and
sponsorship of the Ag-Bio Careers Day.
