Processing information:     Ethel Austin Martin kept copious records of her involvement with the establishment of and ongoing management of the Ethel Austin Martin Program in Human Nutrition at South Dakota State University, and much of that material is found throughout this collection.

While much of the material in this collection was created by Ethel Austin Martin, also included were files of the Endowed Chair of the program. The processor tried to separate the Ethel Austin Martin material from the Endowed Chair material while maintaining original order, but because of Martin’s deep involvement with this program it is suggested that researchers search all aspects of this collection while conducting research on Ethel Austin Martin or the Ethel Austin Martin Program in Human Nutrition.

This collection was processed by Crystal J. Gamradt on January 8, 2009.
