Lending SDSU Materials to Other Libraries

The staff of Hilton M. Briggs Library are pleased to lend circulating materials and to send copies of our materials to other libraries.

Requesting Materials

We accept requests from staff of other libraries through the following systems:
  • Aleph ILL: SDB
  • Docline: SDUSDB
  • OCLC: SDB
  • ILLiad Account (Click to set up an account for your library.)
Lending Policies
All materials are subject to recall if needed at SDSU.
Please send separate requests for multiple volumes/items.

    Lending Notes
  1. Reference, Archives, and Special Collections materials are non-circulating.
    Normally, Briggs Library charges no fee for loans to other libraries.
    Briggs Library will not put materials on hold for other libraries.
  2. Also available from Dissertation Express:  http://proquest.com/products_umi/dissertations/dexplib.shtml
  3. Subject to approval by Serials Librarian. Unbound issues do not circulate.
  4. Items heavily used at SDSU are not loaned.

Providing Photocopies to Other Libraries

The Briggs Library provides a photocopy service which supplies scanned or photocopied articles from journals, magazines, and other sources held by Briggs Library.

    Photocopy Service Notes
  • Fees do not apply when reciprocal agreements are in force.
  • The borrowing library assumes all copyright compliance responsibilities.
