  • History Matters - serves as a repository and focal point for education and research on the subject of the JFK assassination and related topics in Cold War history.
  • The History Net - Where History Lives on the Internet.  Links to guide sites on various areas of history.
  • Humanities and Social Sciences Online.  Sponsored by the National Endowment for the Humanities.  Links to more than 100 discussion lists and hundreds of other resources for historians.
  • LEXIS-NEXIS Academic. This database provides online access to full-text federal, state and international legal materials, as well as full-text and bibliographic information from newspapers, news and business magazines, newsletters, wire services, broadcast transcripts, and biographical sources.  Includes many international news sources. 
  • MERLOT - Multimedia Education Resource for Learning and Online Teaching.  Links to learning materials, sample assignments, and online materials.
  • Organization of American Historians - furnishes a wide variety of links to professional societies, associations, centers, and resources.
  • The Smithsonian Institution - array of historical resources available.
  • Voice of the Shuttle - History.  An index of WWW history resources.
  • Women's History from About.Com - Web links on women's history topics, original articles, an index of news stories on women's history, an index of recent book reviews, women's quotes, etc.
  • World History Compass.  Provides links to worldwide history sites.
  • WorldCat.  This library database contains bibliographic citations for millions of resources, including books, audio files, WWW sites, manuscripts, maps, musical scores, films and slides, etc.
