The following databases and paper indexing
and abstracting publications may be used to locate articles relevant to computer
science in journals, magazines, conference proceedings,
books, and other sources. Contact a
librarian (688-5570 or 800-786-2038) for more
information or if off-campus access is denied to a current SDSU student, faculty
member, or staff member.
Computer and Control Abstracts. 1969-1999.
This monthly publication of the Institute of Electrical Engineers provides
international coverage of systems and control theory, computer technology, and
computer applications, citing books, journal articles, patents, conference
papers, dissertations, and reports. It is shelved on the library's main floor in
the abstracts area (629.805 C739).
Computer Literature Index. 1984-2000.
This quarterly publication indexes and provides brief abstracts to the
literature in "computer-related trade publications, general business and
management periodicals, and publications of computer and management-oriented
professional societies and organizations." It is shelved on the library's
main floor on the index tables (016.00164 C739).
Computing Reviews. 1974-2001.
Issued monthly by the Association for Computing Machinery, Inc., this
publication provides reviews of books, proceedings, and non-book literature in
all areas of the computing sciences. Recent issues are shelved on the library's
main floor in the current periodicals section; older, bound volumes are shelved
on the lower level (510.7805 C739.2).

Compendex Web.
The world's premiere engineering abstracts database. Sources include journals,
conference proceedings, and technical reports in all areas of engineering. Older
paper volumes of this resource are shelved as Engineering Index on the
main floor at Abstracts 620.5 .En332.
