Circulating Books

As you exit the stairwell on the upper level, the circulating book collection (books that can be checked out) is directly ahead of you. Hanging from the ceiling are signs directing you to specific ranges of call numbers. In addition, on the end of each shelving unit is a sign with specific ranges of call numbers for books contained on those shelves. The books and other items on this level are arranged on the shelves according to the Library of Congress Classification System.

Quiet Study Areas

This floor has some designated Quiet Study Areas where you can get some serious studying done. Wander into the stacks to find these quiet places when you need to get away from your noisy dorm or roommates. There is also an area along the northwest wall that is nice and quiet.

Restrooms on the second level are located directly behind the stairwell.

To visit the next stop on the tour (the lower level), return to the stairwell, and go down to the lowest level of the library. Elevator access is available on the south wall of the upper level of the library.
