Circulating
Books

As you exit the stairwell
on the upper level, the circulating book collection (books that can be
checked out) is directly ahead of you. Hanging from the ceiling are signs
directing you to specific ranges of call numbers. In addition, on the
end of each shelving unit is a sign with specific ranges of call numbers for books contained on those
shelves. The books and other items on this level are arranged on the shelves
according to the
Library
of Congress Classification System.
